Who we are

We are Amino & Co, based in the United Kingdom.

That is the whole of it. There is no company, no group and no parent business — one person, buying and selling a short range of laboratory accessories.

How to reach us

Email hello@aminoand.co. It is read every working day and we aim to answer within one.

There is no telephone number, and that is deliberate rather than an omission. A one-person shop with a phone number either answers it at the expense of packing your order, or does not answer it at all — and a number that rings out is worse than no number. Email gets a considered answer, in writing, that we both keep.

If you are writing about an order, include the order reference from your confirmation email and we can answer in one message rather than three.

Trading status

• Sole trader. Amino & Co is not a limited company, so there is no company registration number to give you.
• Not registered for VAT. Turnover is below the VAT registration threshold, so no VAT is charged on anything you buy here and the price you see is the whole price of the goods. There is no VAT number and no VAT to reclaim on an order from us.
• Currency and delivery. Prices are in pounds sterling. We deliver to United Kingdom addresses only.

What we sell

Amino & Co sells laboratory and research accessories and equipment — pens, cartridges, storage cases and various accessories.

Everything is sold for laboratory and research use only. Nothing sold here is a medicine, nothing is licensed by the MHRA, and nothing is intended for human or veterinary use. We do not sell peptides or any other compound for administration, and we do not source them.

You must be 18 or over to order. That is our own rule rather than a legal restriction on these goods.

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, email hello@aminoand.co and say what happened.

1. We aim to acknowledge within one working day.
2. We aim to resolve within fourteen days, and if it is going to take longer we will tell you why and when to expect an answer.
3. If we cannot agree, we will say so plainly rather than letting it go quiet.

We are not a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme and we are not required to use one. If a complaint cannot be settled between us, you are free to take it to court. Nothing in our terms stops you doing that.

Your information

We hold as little as an order needs, run no analytics, and load nothing from an advertising company. What we do hold, who else sees it and how long we keep it is set out in the Privacy & Cookies Policy.

For anything about your own data — a copy of it, a correction, a deletion — email hello@aminoand.co. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

The law that applies

Contracts made through this shop are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
